This DJ set evolved much as my life does…I pick the main songs, and then I weave things together with others or add a little seasoning to some. It’s trial and error-some songs work really well in my head, and it sounds completely different when I hear it on headphones or on a speaker. In my life, I can easily see the big picture, but the details are nonexistent. Patience, curiosity, low stress, and time come together to catalyze it all. This is a process I practice for most creative endeavors, not solely for DJing.

Safety has been a priority for me…not just physical, but mental and spiritual. Safety gives me peace, but my form of safety looks very different from anyone else’s. A.U.R.A.: The Algorithm of Peace helped me to create a foundation to provide a safe mental environment for my creativity. With care, support, and inspiration from @alfredjansen22 and friends, I feel hopeful for what’s coming.
Weaving the songs together in this DJ set is how I tell stories; every song has a meaning and a vibe. It took a few tries to get right-I’m trying new techniques and broadening genres, so it’s still not perfect, but it still gives me joy as it is a culmination of much of what I’ve been through over the last 3 months.
